Sacred Pause ("the app," "we," "us") is a Christian focus app that helps you pause and pray by locking distracting apps at times you choose. We built Sacred Pause to be private by design. This policy explains what we do and do not collect.
Your profile (faith preference, goals, reflection length), your prayer schedule, and the apps or categories you choose to protect are stored locally on your device using iOS storage. We do not receive or store this information on our servers.
Sacred Pause uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks to shield the apps you select at your scheduled prayer times. Your app selection is handled on-device by iOS. Apple provides these selections to the app as opaque tokens; the identities of the specific apps you choose are not transmitted to us.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. To validate your subscription, RevenueCat processes your App Store purchase/receipt information and a randomly generated app user identifier. This is used only to determine whether your subscription is active. It is not linked to your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
To provide a reflection that fits your moment, the app may send non-identifying context (such as a selected feeling, faith preference, and reflection length) to our reflection service to generate text. These requests are not tied to your identity and are not used to build a profile of you.
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device at your chosen prayer times. These are generated on-device and are not sent through our servers.
Sacred Pause does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Sacred Pause is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can reset all locally stored data at any time from Settings → "Reset local profile" in the app, or by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
